HEC-HMS: General Information

Course Materials

The student notebook will include the PowerPoint slides, note pages and workshop materials.  An enclosed CD will provided pdf versions of the notebook materials as well as workshop electronic files and solutions.  The latest versions of HEC-HMS and the HEC-DSSVue will be included on the CD.

What to Bring

Each student will need to bring a laptop, notepaper and a calculator. Participants must have permission to load software to your laptop and be able to write to the hard drive in order to add data and run the programs during the workshops. 

*Participants are encouraged (but not required) to pre-load the following software programs to their laptops before attending the class:
HEC-HMS
HEC-DSSVue

Provision of Services for Sensory Impaired Attendees

ASDSO will provide services to sensory impaired persons attending the seminar if requested at least five days prior to the date of the seminar. 

Overnight Accommodations & Parking

For participants who wish to reserve overnight accommodations, the Commons Learning Center has assembled a list of quality hotels conveniently located less than three miles from the facility.  Many offer discounted rates and free shuttle service to the seminar attendees. See AREA HOTELS

No ASDSO group room blocks have been reserved, but these hotels may offer government per diem or other discounted rates.

Parking is available at the Commons Learning Center. Details will be sent closer to the seminar date.
