Soil Mechanics for Earth Dam Design and Analysis: General Information

What to Bring:  Participants are asked to bring a scientific calculator, graph paper, and compass (for drawing Mohr’s Circles). 

Course Materials: The participants will receive the PowerPoint presentation in electronic format on a CD-Rom and in printed form for reference during the seminar.

Provision of Services for Sensory Impaired Attendees: ASDSO will provide services to sensory impaired persons attending the seminar if requested at least five days prior to the start date.  Please contact Susan Sorrell at ASDSO (859) 550-2788 for more information.

Parking:  Parking permits will be available daily for $8 (cash only).

Overnight Accommodations: No ASDSO group blocks have been reserved, however, there are hotels within close proximity to the seminar location and may offer government per diem or other discounted rates.  Denver University has several hotel partners who offer a “DU rate” based on availability.
