Abstract/Additional Information

Located on the South Fork Humboldt River about 10 miles southeast of Elko, Nevada, the 1650 foot long and 85 foot high South Fork earthfill darn is founded on intensely altered sedimentary bedrock of upper Mississippian to lower Permian age. Completed in 1989, the recreational reservoir has a storage capacity of about 40,000 acre-feet.
