Response
Additional Remarks or Updates The dam has a small diameter drop inlet spillway that controls the lake level and open channels at both ends of the dam. One of these channels had experienced headcut erosion to the point where the erosion scarp was only about 20 feet from the reservoir. In an apparent attempt to divert water into the other channel, he built a berm through the channel in question. Apparently the berm overtopped and failed, letting water once again flow through the channel and continue head cutting. At some point, it appears that the reservoir overtopped the dam crest slightly but no visible damage was seen on the embankments.
