2/25/10 - Future Updates to ASDSO Training Program - ASDSO’s Board of Directors, staff, and training subcommittees are committed to developing a more robust, independent training program that will meet the needs of the growing dam and levee safety community. We will be taking “time off” from providing a full cadre of courses between July and December to fully develop our strategic plan for training. Some web-based courses will be provided during this interim period. The ASDSO Training Program will then be poised to provide a more comprehensive curriculum of classroom, web-based, and self-paced training in conjunction with training strategies of our partners including the National Dam Safety Program at FEMA. more

2/2/10 - Pending Legislation in Virginia is Bad for Dam Safety - ASDSO leaders and members, the ASCE Government Relations Program and the Virginia Chapter of ACEC are coming out against a bill recently passed out of the Virginia State Senate that would allow owners to ignore repair needs if they have an "adequate" EAP. more
