Certification for Dam Owners & Operators

Responses from state dam safety programs to the following: "I meet periodically with a group of dam owners here in New Mexico and we have been discussing the idea of a certification program for dam owners and operators. The general idea is that owners and operators could participate in training and demonstrate certain capabilities for maintenance and safe operation practices and obtain a certification that would be managed and issued by the Dam Safety Bureau. I am wondering if there is any sort of dam owner/operator certification program in any of the other states. Any information you have on a similar program in your state would be much appreciated."
