Abstract/Additional Information
State dam safety program responses to the following questions:
1)Should the house on top of the dam be factored in to the hazard classification, given that the dam owner owns the house? Or could it be viewed as a low hazard dam if potential damages are limited to his own property?
2) Would other states ever issue a permit for a dam with a house on it? If so, would you require anything special as part of the permit process, such as some sort of certification from an engineer that the house is not affecting the stability of the dam, etc
