State responses to the following: BACKGROUND: Currently in California there is an assembly bill that would potentially remove FERC dams from state regulation. The author of the bill specifically states as an argument that this occurred in the State of Washington. In the Bill Analysis by the Irrigation District, they also specifically mention that New York reached an accord with FERC allowing FERC jurisdiction to be recognized. QUESTIONS: 1. Does your state regulate FERC dams? 2. Has your state addressed this type of legislation before?
