Abstract/Additional Information
The purpose of this report is to present the results of evaluation of the factors that contributed to the erosion beneath the spillway at Mt. Carmel Dam. The objectives of this evaluation were to: a) identify probable design, site geotechnical, construction, or other elements that may have contributed to the erosion, b) identify a likely failure mode, and c) identify modifications to the design that would have likely prevented the erosion.
