Geotextiles in dams: Forging federal guidelines

The purpose of this article is to promote the establishment of criteria concerning use of geotextiles in dams. Criteria establishment has the dual purpose of increasing use of geotextiles where acceptable, and avoiding misuse of geotextiles where unacceptable.
