Abstract/Additional Information
The 117th Congress was good to dam and levee safety programs as well as several related programs. This was no accident. The focus and funding, which many have characterized as once-in-a-generation, can be attributed to the alignment of interests and timing coupled with the collected national reaction to our nation’s crumbling infrastructure and recent dam incidents and failures. And none of it would have happened without a lot of determination, work, and communication.
