Sun River Diversion Dam: One Core Sample at a Time

A team consisting of Reclamation civil and mechanical engineers, geologists, drill crew, Unmanned Aircraft Systems pilots, and rope access team members from multiple regions visited Sun River Diversion Dam. The team worked in cold, wet, and windy conditions to identify potential geological hazards that could adversely affect the stability of the dam. This is the first time that geological samples have been taken at the site since the original construction
