Update on Dams Sector Cyber-Security Task Force

A task force focused upon cyber-security of the industrial control systems used in the Dams Sector is under consideration for establishment under the auspices of the Dams Sector Research and Development Subcommittee. This paper examines the background events leading to formation of this group, and discusses the organization, membership and operation of this group. The paper also covers research activities at the University of Louisville to identify and prioritize cyber-security vulnerabilities in Dams Sector industrial control systems and to mitigate these vulnerabilities. The task force will act as an advisory board to the University of Louisville research efforts, among its other activities.
