Florida Dam Owner Workshop

The Association of State Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO), in conjunction with the Florida Dam Safety Program, invites you to participate in a one-day Dam Safety Workshop, "Operation and Maintenance".  The workshop will be held virtually on April 27, 2026.

The workshop is designed to provide practical, straightforward information on topics of importance to dam owners and operators and those with an interest in dams.  The purpose of this one-day workshop is to provide education/information on the following topics:

• Course Introduction
• Basic Dam Terminology and Function
• Dam Types and Purpose
• Cause of Dam Failures and How They Relate to Maintenance
• Maintenance Problems and Solutions
• Operation

While the workshop is free, all attendees must pre-register for the workshop by April 20, 2026.  Space is limited, and late registrations will not be accepted.

Access to the workshop will begin at 8:45 am and the training will end at 5:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time.    You will receive electronic access to course materials.  We look forward to you joining us!

Up to 6 Professional Development Hours are available for the completion of the course.
