Dr. Anthony Konya is a globally recognized mining executive and explosives engineer, renowned for his leadership across multiple high-performing companies in the mining, demolition, and industrial minerals sectors. With a doctorate in explosive engineering and over a decade of executive experience, Dr. Konya has built a portfolio of businesses spanning critical infrastructure demolition, silica sand, aggregates, and explosives manufacturing—each contributing to the backbone of industrial supply chains.
He is the founder and CEO of Konya Mining Company (KMC), a diversified mining operation with assets across Wisconsin, Ohio, and Arkansas. Under his leadership, KMC rapidly scaled into a vertically integrated operation, producing and supplying industrial silica sands to the energy, glass, foundry, and construction markets.
Dr. Konya also leads DetX, a premier explosives group formed through the consolidation of Dykon Demolition and Precision Blasting Services. DetX specializes in structural demolition, critical infrastructure blasting, and military-grade explosive engineering, operating nationwide and providing emergency response services for government and private clients.
With a unique technical and operational background, Dr. Konya has trained hundreds of engineers worldwide through his explosive training academy and consulted on high-risk demolition and blasting projects across North America, Europe, and the Middle East.
