Public Awareness Campaign Fund

Public Awareness Campaign Fund
Thank you for considering donating to the Public Awareness Campaign Fund, which was created to support a national public awareness campaign on dam safety, including at low head dams.

We in the dam safety profession collectively know how heartbreaking it is to learn of tragedies caused by recreating around dams or dam failures. Now, for the first time in ASDSO’s history and thanks to FEMA funding through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, we are launching a multi-year national awareness campaign. Educating the public about dams is one of the pillars of dam safety and a continued goal for ASDSO. An educated public is both better protected from the dangers posed by dams and can serve as educated advocates for dam safety in their communities.

The seed money graciously offered by FEMA will only kickstart this ambitious campaign. We need your support and will be working over the next year to get monetary backing from our member companies, private and federal grant providers, and the outdoor recreation industry.

Will you join us? Donate now and watch for more details about the campaign in the coming weeks.
