ailures and Incidents: Essential Lessons for Dam Safety Practitioners is now available for purchase. The 300-plus-page hardcover book is the culmination of more than a decade of research by the ASDSO Dam Failures and Incidents Committee. It includes more than 100 case studies spanning from the 1800s to 2020 and a comprehensive review of the aspects and processes of how and why dam failures and incidents occur.
All Orders:
- Books are $40 each, plus shipping. Prices are in USD, and the total must be paid by credit card.

Domestic Orders:
- Orders can be placed through the ASDSO Portal. An account is required to place your order, but membership is not required. If you need assistance logging in email [email protected].
- Once your order is shipped, a tracking code will be sent to your email.
International Orders:
- To start the ordering process, email [email protected] with the full shipping address and desired number of copies.
- An ASDSO staff member will respond to your email with a quote that includes the cost of the book(s), shipping, tariffs, and any other applicable fees. ASDSO anticipates international shipping-related fees between $60-$120 for a single copy.
- If you accept the quote, ASDSO will send a link to finalize and pay for the order. Orders will be placed through the ASDSO Portal. An account is required, but you do not need an ASDSO membership.
