Kristin Ray graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering in 2004 and has been a dam safety consultant for 20 years specializing in dam inspection, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, rehabilitation, and design. She is a Professional Engineer in multiple states and is recognized by the Georgia Safe Dams Program as an Engineer of Record in the areas of hydrology, hydraulics, and civil engineering. Kristin has been an active member of the Association of State Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO) since 2012 and is also a member of the United States Society on Dams (USSD) and the Georgia Association of Water Professionals (GAWP).

Scott Arends is Hazen and Sawyer’s Midwest Region Dam and Levee Practice Lead and has 29 years of experience as both a dam safety regulator and a consultant in the dam safety industry. Scott is a member of ASDSO's Advisory Committee and has been engaged with several ASDSO committees and workgroups during his career. He enjoys mentoring and sharing lessons learned from his experience with the inspection, planning, design, construction and operation of earthen dams and levees throughout the country
