Job Title: Project Manager (Dam Safety)

Job Description: Maricopa County is looking for a leader for our Dam Safety Program.  The Project Manager (Dam Safety) is responsible for the implementation and technical supervision of assigned elements of the District’s Dam Safety Program and Right-of Way Use Permit Process. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Geology OR a Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering along with three (3) years of experience in performing civil engineering related work.  One must also be a registered Professional Civil Engineer or Professional Geologist with the State of Arizona or have registration with another state and the ability to obtain Arizona Registration within six (6) months of hire.  To apply: https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/maricopa.  Applications will be available from August 10, 2020 through August 23, 2020.

Job Description: Eagle Creek Renewable Energy owns and/or operates 85 hydroelectric facilities in 19 states throughout the United States and is currently seeking an experienced Dam Safety Engineer with experience in the structural analysis, design, and inspection of gates and hydraulic concrete structures. The ideal candidate will also have experience in dam safety in a variety of other areas including hydrology and hydraulics, geotechnical engineering, and construction management. This position will report to the Chief Dam Safety Engineer and will principally be responsible for conducting gate assessments and developing and managing a comprehensive spillway gate surveillance and monitoring program in perpetuity at all Eagle Creek projects.  This position may also be responsible for general dam safety oversight in a select geographic area. Job Title: Dam Safety Engineer

Location: Richmond, VA

Job Description: This position serves as the principal staff for performing Dam Break Inundation Studies in accordance with § 10.1-606.2 and for simplified inundation studies pursuant to § 10.1-604.1. Dam Break Inundation Studies and simplified mapping for Low Hazard Dams shall utilize various hydrologic and hydraulic software such as the Army Corps of Engineers HEC-HMS or HEC-1 program, HEC-RAS, etc. The position will be the point of contact for dam owners and localities on mapping issues.
