The Dam Busters

The story of how the British attacked German dams in WWII by using an ingenious technique to drop bombs where they would be most effective. Split into two sections, the film deals first with the development of a new weapon by Dr. Barnes N. Wallis. The second deals with the mission during the British raid on the Ruhr dams and its associated costs for the enemy and the British airmen.

Director: Michael Anderson. Movie based on the book, "Enemy Coast Ahead" by Paul Brickhill, including an account by Wing Commander Guy Gibson. Stars: Richard Todd, Michael Redgrave, Ursula Jeans.
