Abstract/Additional Information

Probability of dam failure due to piping estimated under two conditions: outward flow toward the slough with a full reservoir, and inward flow toward the reservoir with an empty reservoir for Doroudzan earth-fill dam. The applied tool to estimate risk of failure was an event tree analysis similar to that outlined by USBR (1997).
