Additional Remarks or Updates This is an old dam built in the 1930s and it has a history of problems with seepage under the spillway. No evacuations were necessary, but ND Highway 15, immediately downstream of the dam, was closed overnight as a precaution. The dam did not fail completely, and is currently being repaired.
