Account of the 3/26/1930 failure of Alexander Dam, based on a report from Joel B. Cox, the chief engineer of the dam, to ENR editors. The dam was under construction on the island of Kauai when it suddenly "sloughed out." 6 fatalities resulted. Includes cross section, photos.
