Description:

This course serves as an introduction and guidance on construction oversight and inspections associated with the construction or modification of a dam and appurtenant structures.

Learning objectives attendees will receive from this course:

  • Organization, communication, and the roles, responsibilities, and authority of project team members.
  • Emergency operations for dam and levee failures and incidents.
  • Importance of dam construction documentation and record-keeping.
  • Understanding design limitations and dealing with unexpected conditions during construction.
  • Construction observation and inspection considerations for dam construction.
  • Good and bad construction examples, things to watch for, and dealing with things that go wrong.

REGISTRATION RATES:

  • Member Rate: $975 on or before September 27, 2024, $1,025 after September 27, 2024 
  • Non-Member Rate: $1,075 on or before September 27, 2024, $1,125 after September 27, 2024 

CANCELLATION POLICY:

  • All cancellations are subject to a $75 administrative fee.
  • Cancellations must be received by September 20, 2024. Cancellations made after September 20, 2024, will not receive a refund. 

PDHS AVAILABLE:

  • 14 PDHs are available for the completion of the course. NY licensed engineers will receive 14 PDHs for the completion of this course.
